KINTAMANI, BALI
Same island.
Another world.
Leave the coastal rhythm behind. Up here, the air is cooler, the horizons are bigger and the mountains set the mood.
Kintamani lies in the highlands of Bangli. The Batur caldera and lake shape the landscape of the Batur UNESCO Global Geopark.
UNESCO · Batur GeoparkBEFORE YOU COME
- About 2 hours from the airport and 2–3 hours from the south of Bali, along one of the most beautiful roads on the island: rice terraces, villages and temples, until the caldera opens up below you. Count the journey as the first part of your stay.
- Mornings and nights are cool up here; bring a warm layer. In the villa there is a fireplace, blankets and air conditioning set to any temperature.
- We’ll share the route and arrival details before your visit. Mountain visibility changes with the weather.
SUNRISE FROM YOUR BED
Three volcanoes in a row.
A lake below.
Batur, Abang and Agung stand in a row. In the morning, mist rises over the lake and you are level with the clouds; by midday it lifts and the volcano opens up. Meet the sunrise without a 3 a.m. climb.
